On the initiative of the Amadou Gon Coulibaly Institute of Political Training (IFP-AGC) in cooperation with the Leaders For Peace Foundation, “The Traveling School of Peace” took place in Abidjan from February 27 to March 4, 2023. It is a high level education to ensure the transmission of peace building tools and methods and instill in the Ivorian youth values of tolerance and non-violence.
For 5 days, these 90 listeners were trained on topics related to international relations, new technologies and the risks of misinformation, gender issues, terrorism, African governance issues and the opportunity to invest in Africa.
The closing ceremony took place on Saturday, March 4th in the CNPS auditorium in Plateau, presided over by the President of the Board of this institute, Mamadou Touré.
The 90 auditors each received a training certificate.
This training was an opportunity for Jean ¨Pierre Raffarin to urge the Ivorian youth to change their attitude in what he called “the Sermon of Abidjan”. “You must love your country more than yourself, drink water and think of the disadvantaged, always envision the way out of conflict, lead others by making sure the path and destination are compatible, respecting the dignity of the other as important consider you to accept dialogue with those who disagree with you,” he declined, ensuring that it would be included in the final report of this high-level training.
Mamadou Touré was satisfied at the end of this high-level training by high-ranking personalities who have led their country. In particular, Jean Pierre Raffarin, former French Prime Minister, Komara Kabiné, former Prime Minister of Guinea Conakry. In addition, there were important teachers of the Science Po Paris such as BADIE Bertrand, researcher and professor emeritus of the University of Sciences Po Paris, specialist in the sociology of international relations and multilateralism, ESPOSITO Frédéric, associate professor of the universities, director of the Political Science Institute of the University of Geneva ( UNIGE) and specialist in international relations and international security issues, etc.
He said that in the future these training courses will be open to young people from the Uemoa region.
