- Comparison of ergonomics and design
While there’s no groundbreaking design change between the two models, there’s one thing worth highlighting: the S9’s fingerprint sensor has been redesigned with a much better placement than the one on the S8.
Otherwise, the panel that makes up the screen and the interface remain the same and the two reviewers remain very close. In terms of size, the difference is hardly noticeable. The Samsung Galaxy S9 measures 14.77 x 6.87 x 0.85 while its S8 counterpart measures 14.89 x 6.81 x 0.8. A slight change changes absolutely nothing in this very tight battle.
- Screen and display comparison
Also in this aspect, the difference between the Samsung Galaxy S8 and its successor, the S9, is not so obvious. Both measure 5.8 inches, which gives them the ability to fit in a jeans pocket. It can be a criterion for selection with the imposing size of the last born. These two screens are Super AMOLED and both have excellent resolution. Its definition is 2960 x 1440 pixels and the resolution is 568 dpi. So it is not in terms of screen resolution, which is a very important criterion for displaying images and videos, that the two models should be decided.
Again, Samsung has not shown very big changes. The main sensor of both devices is equipped with a 12MP camera which is pretty good for a smartphone.
